We are dorsum from a vacation weekend at the beach and it was so fun! Nosotros were able to (safely) go to the beach and the pool and had bang-up weather and plenty of sunshine. The kiddos – and our chocolate lab – were in heaven.

I've shared homemade taco seasoning and homemade fajita seasoning already here on the blog and those two are *always* in my pantry.

Today it's this really flavorful southwest seasoning, which I likewise honey to keep on hand because it's so versatile.

My version is based on Emeril Lagasse's recipe. I merely toned down the spicy level a flake by using a picayune less cayenne and crushed cerise pepper than he calls for.

  • 2 tablespoons chili pulverisation

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • one tablespoon kosher table salt
